Today's Featured Biography
Mike Reslie
Wow, 34 years! I have to admit that after High School I didn't have a clue what I wanted to do for a living. However, after dating Karen for two years, I did know that I wanted to spend my life with her so I enlisted in the Air Force (ya gotta eat). Over the next few years I worked on a degree in Sociology and fully intended to go to law school. Then life took a hard right turn. I accepted a commission and the Air Force trained me to be a communications and computer officer. We had a great time, we traveled the world living in Brussels, Belgium; Madrid, Spain and Adona, Turkey.
But after 22 years (plus 20 as brats) we decided to put down some roots. I retired and I now work for Intergraph Corporation, an IT company based out of Huntsville, AL. Karen and I have been married now for 33 years. Through our youngest, Steven- a police officer, and his wife Cassandra, we have three terrific grandkids and they are working on a 4th. Our oldest, Daniel, is a computer programmer working CSC. Daniel and our Daughter-in-law Alice adopted a little girl from Vietnam this year making a Grand (pun intended) total of 4.
Unlike the bad old days when we were Air Force brats, we have all been living happily in the town of Bonaire, GA , about an hour south of Atlanta, for the past 14 years.
