Today's Featured Biography
Paul Baczewski
Unlike many people I've met over the years, I have nothing but fond memories of my high school experience. And my classmates of 1973 are primarily responsible for that. So many of you were very special friends. I'd just like to say thank you for all the good times and great memories.
After high school I attended Whitman College in Walla Walla, Washington. I graduated in 1977 and began working for the Boeing Company in 1979. 25 years later I am still here. I work in the Engineering Operations organization and am responsible for developing and maintaining the processes used for managing engineering changes to the airplanes. I am currently working on the development phase of the newest Boeing commercial airplane, the 7E7, the first of which will be delivered in 2008.
I was married in college and have two daughters. Sarah is 21 years old, and just graduated from Whitman College. She is now attending the Seattle Film Institute. Katie is 18 years old, and just left home to attend Scripps College in Claremont, California.
After 14 years my marriage ended in divorce. However, as I am not one to be easily deterred, I quickly remarried. I have been married to my current wife, Janice, for 14 years. I have 4 step-children from this marriage. Damion is 37 years old, and works for King County Metro as a transportation maintenance worker. Jeff is 35 years old, and works for the Boeing Company as a factory worker. He is married (Nisrene is his wife's name) and has a 4 year old son (our only grandson), Christopher. Lisa is 30 years old, and owns a ski rental and apparel business with her husband, Norm. Mary is 25 years old, and is completing a degree in social work - she intends to become a drug and alcohol counselor.
In 1990 I had a young adult book published. It was titled, Just For Kicks, and in it Vanden High School, Mr. Clark, and Mr. Boyd all made cameo appearances.
Up to now I've had a very full and interesting life, with plenty more yet to come (I hope). See you all at the reunion!
