6/7/2022 1st Meeting

After graduating from Yuma High, I joined the U.S. Air Force a year later. While in the Air Force I met my wife while stationed in Utah; we later were stationed in Incirlik, Turkey; and Aviano, Italy. To date, my wife has been in 16 countries, and I have been to 24 countries due to travel with the military, current jobs, and vacations.
Our oldest son Richard, was born in Italy, almost two years to the day later my youngest son Michael, was born in Utah.
I eventually retired from the Air Force and later worked at Thiokol which is known for making the solid rocket boosters for the Space Shuttle. I was laid off from there and went back to school earning a degree in Information Systems from Weber State in Ogden, Utah.
I would like to take the time to thank Ginger Rico for being the central figure in reaching out to those she could find. A project like this takes a lot of time and effort to stay on top of.
After several job changes mostly due to the downsizing of the economy around the millennium I started working for several consulting firms, winding up with IBM, which I am currently employed.
My oldest son recently was married earlier this month; he is currently preparing to test to become a journeyman plumber. As of this writting I have not heard of that I am soon to be a grandfather. My youngest is working for a fire sprinkler installation company in Utah. He is currently planning on becoming married sometime in June of 2009.
No major life trials like death or serious illness in the family other than parents passing away.
I am very happy and proud to say that I have been married to the same wonderful woman for 27 years. She has been the Rock of Gibralter of the family; her plans are to retire in less than three years. If everything goes according to plans, my retirement will be shortly afterwards.
