Today's Featured Biography

Mark Tart
School/Career:
I lived in Wiesbaden from 1976 to 1982 and attended WHS from 1980 to 1982 (freshman to junior year). I primarily hung out with Cooper Cantrell, Mike Crewz, Tony Vivaldi, Mike Boggs, Beth Clawson, Bernice Domina and Terry Domina. What a great group of friends they were! I moved to Southern California in ’82 and graduated high-school at some sub-par high-school. Moved to Sacramento California and shared an apartment with two former warriors. Attended CSUS and received my Computer Engineering degree in 1989. I started my professional career as a hardware design engineer for Folsom Research Inc., a small privately owned firm that specialized in video processing equipment. I worked for them for 13 years and then was offered a part ownership in Vista Systems in Phoenix Arizona. I accepted and was able to stay in California working from my home. We grew Vista Systems (you may have unknowingly seen our equipment used on the sets of CNN Anderson 360, CBS Evening News, ABC Evening News, Fox News, NBC Sunday Night Football…) to the point that we attracted the eye of Christie Digital Systems. They purchased our company this past July. I am still working for the company.
Family:
While attending college at CSUS, I was working at a furniture store warehouse to pay the rent and tuition. There I met my future mother in-law and eventually my future wife. Kellie and I were married in 1991. We live in the small foot-hill town of Placerville. We love it here in Placerville. It has a small town feel but not too far out in the boonies. We have two great kids Jessica and Jarrod and my parents live less than ¼ of a mile from us.
Hobbies:
Besides doing things with Kellie and the kids, my hobbies are photography and Tae Kwon Do.
Warrior Connections:
Besides my brother (Class of ’79) I am still in contact with Mike Crewz and Micky Harris Dixon. Still exchange Christmas letters with Beth King (Clawson), Pattie Parry (Weathers), Cooper Cantrell and Mike Boggs. I hope I didn’t forget someone. Sorry if I did!

"Just discovered your product today while trying to locate classmates ahead of our 50th reunion in 2020. The fact that you did this in a noncommercial manner in a world where everything has a price tag deserves recognition and respect, in my view.
Thank you and good luck in all your endeavors."
