After graduation, I drifted for a few years at a couple of "nothing" jobs. I took a few accounting courses at Kwantlen, but decided that that really wasn't what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. In 1990, I started working for Overwaitea Food Group in the head office as the Data Integrity Coordinator. I met my amazing husband Julio there and we married in 1993. When our daughter Julia was born, I hung up my career shoes and decided that motherhood was my calling. Yeah...five kids later...I guess so! The kids keep me busy...never a dull moment! We live in Abbotsford on a 350 acre farm, so there's plenty of room for us all! In my spare time (ha ha ha), I teach grade 2 Catechism at our church and I've just started up with a new program with seniors (kind of like an adopt-a grandparent program). We're taking the kids to Disneyland this November...just goes to prove that I really have lost my mind!!! Julio and I have our own professional landscaping company (big reno's and restoration projects). I run the office end of things (I guess the accountant in me just can't be held down!) and Julio runs the field work. We have a great crew working for us.
The reunion was such a blast!!! It was great to see everyone and catch up on each other! Thank you so much to Janice, Judy and Michelle and everyone else who made it such a great event!
