Today's Featured Biography
Donald Kyle
After graduating from WVU with a Mining Engineering degree I went to work for Hannah and Associates in Elkins surveying underground mines. From 1984 - '87 I worked for Phoenix Resources in Monterville. In 1985 Tammy and I got married. We made our home on the southeast corner in the center of Valley Bend. If we still lived there today then my cousin Greg Smith would be my neighbor and I would only have two years left on my mortgage. In 1987 DeKrisha was born. Shortly after that I took a sales job with Texaco. Then it got a little crazy. First we moved to Centreville, VA near Washington DC. Then to Abingdon, Va on the other end of the state. Next we moved to Richmond, VA, where Dylan was born. Then a big move to Seattle, WA. From there a bigger move to Warsaw, Poland. Next to Oakville, Ontario near Toronto for a year. That's when we decided it was time for me to take a job in Houston where Texaco had a large office and I could continue my career without the family having to move so often. We lived in The Woodlands near Houston for 13 years where the kids had some stability during their school years. Now DeKrisha is a med student at the University of Texas. Dylan is at WVU studying Chemical Engineering. The kids are gone. Tammy and I are on the move again. Now we live in the Middle East. We moved to Dubai in July 2011. If you call me, remember it is eight hours later here :)
Some things you may not know about me: I sold the van. No, really, I did! I used a picture of the cake we had at our 10th year reunion to populate the names on this website. I'm a pretty good checkers player thanks to Roy Romine. I now realize just how much Coach Cooper and Coach Foreback taught me about succeeding in life. I was voted most likely to succeed by my college class. Bobby and Stan and I all roomed together our first semester at WVU. I miss playing high school basketball. I met my wife on the bleachers at TVHS. Our son Dylan graduated from Tygarts Valley in 2010. Our guidance counselor told me I didn't have the aptitude to be an engineer. I almost fell for it. I quit first semester at WVU just two weeks before the opening day of deer season, but then I wised up and when back for Spring semester. I attended the 5th year reunion at Stuart's Park, the 10th at Dailey Fire Hall, and the 25th at TVHS. We didn't have a 30th because I failed to get something started. I hope to see at our 35th.

"Just discovered your product today while trying to locate classmates ahead of our 50th reunion in 2020. The fact that you did this in a noncommercial manner in a world where everything has a price tag deserves recognition and respect, in my view.
Thank you and good luck in all your endeavors."
