Event Announcement!
2016 - Class Web Site Award |
|
Our web site has had over 30,000 visits! And a large part of that number is due to the efforts of the G-Man, alias Gary Henline. Through his efforts by commenting each day about the featured classmate as well as reminding everyone of the upcoming special 50th Reunion, he has contributed immensely to the successful continuation of our web site. He has contributed many stories, poems and other zany writings--all of which brought smiles and hearty laughter to all of us readers.
G-Man's award has the TVHS mascot, the mighty Bulldog, showcasing the great performing G-Man. G-Man's efforts resemble those of the tenacious Bulldog as well as other K9s! The tireless pursuit of classmates to contribute comments to the web site and attend this 50th Reunion reminds me of the persistence of the fabled mountain coon hound. Never giving up the chase until the coon, classmate in this case, is left with only very few options. And always being loyal to memories and cherished friendships of Tygarts Valley High School he is like the 'ole farm collie'.
It has taken a special individual to continuously inform and entertain us through our class web site. G-Man is that special person,
G-Man, Thank You and Well Done.
Cheers!

Today's Featured Biography
Kenny Corley
Soon after graduation, I enlisted in the Army. I went to Fort Bragg North Carolina for basic, then on to Fort Sam Houston to be trained as an Operating Room Technician. After completion at Fort Sam, I was transferred to Kimbrough Army Hospital Fort Meade, Maryland. I was there for 1-1/2 years, then received orders for Landsthul Army Hospital Germany. I was there for 3 years, then back to Fort Bragg North Carolina, where I was honorably discharged.
After discharge, I took classes for the new field of Respiratory Care. I received national certification in 1974. I worked for M&M Oxygen Company as their Regional Director of Operations until 1976. I then joined Davis Memorial Hospital as Director Cardio-Pulmonary and Respiratory Care from 1976-1997, when I retired.
My wife, Lesa, is a Registered Nurse at Davis Memorial Hospital, and together we have 5 children. Two children have graduated from West Virginia University, one a senior at WVU, one who has owned a salon and is presently studying to be a paralegal, and the youngest will be starting at Elkins Middle School in the fall.
My hobbies include enjoying my children and grandchildren, camping, fishing, hunting, golfing and playing music with my brothers and sisters.

Thank you and good luck in all your endeavors."
