2016 - Class Web Site Award |

Our web site has had over 30,000 visits! And a large part of that number is due to the efforts of the G-Man, alias Gary Henline. Through his efforts by commenting each day about the featured classmate as well as reminding everyone of the upcoming special 50th Reunion, he has contributed immensely to the successful continuation of our web site. He has contributed many stories, poems and other zany writings--all of which brought smiles and hearty laughter to all of us readers.
G-Man's award has the TVHS mascot, the mighty Bulldog, showcasing the great performing G-Man. G-Man's efforts resemble those of the tenacious Bulldog as well as other K9s! The tireless pursuit of classmates to contribute comments to the web site and attend this 50th Reunion reminds me of the persistence of the fabled mountain coon hound. Never giving up the chase until the coon, classmate in this case, is left with only very few options. And always being loyal to memories and cherished friendships of Tygarts Valley High School he is like the 'ole farm collie'.
It has taken a special individual to continuously inform and entertain us through our class web site. G-Man is that special person,
G-Man, Thank You and Well Done.

Honorably Discharged.....Fort Hood, Texas
Education
1969.....Universtiy of Baylor
1970/1974...WVU....Let's Go Mountaineers
Major in Sports Management with emphasis
in Athletic Training. Double minor of
Special Education and History. Was one
of four students who worked with the
legendary Whitey Gwynn in an athletic
training course during one summer while
at WVU. Worked with several athletes
on the basketball, football, baseball
and soccer teams under the tutelage of
Whitey.
1978....WVU Masters program in Safety
Management.
Professional
Taught Special Education at Anna Jarvis
Elementary School in Grafton, WV.
Dept. of Justice
Morgantown as Recreation Supervisor.
Petersburg, Va as Athletic Director.
Was selected by the Director of the US Bureau
of Prisons to head the National Correctional Recreation Task Force which established the policies and standards followed by all Federal Recreation Departments. These standards are still followed today.
Personal
Have run 7 marathons, numerous 10K's and
walked a marathon for charity. Enjoy
a good round of golf when the body
allows it.
I am the proud father of three daughters, Rachel, Erin and Brittany. Rachel is married to Paul Hoffman and lives in Midlothian, Va. She made me a grandfather when she gave birth to Dylan Nicole. Dylan is now 2 years old and is my special little girl. Dylan has taken Rachel's place of having me wrapped around her little finger. Rachel teaches school in Chesterfield County. Erin also teaches school. She is getting married to Sean Engles on July 23 of this year and plans to live in Henrico, Virginia after she is married. Erin is like her father.....a big Yankee fan. She has already seen more Yankee games than I have and has visited Old Yankee
Stadium.....something I never did. Brittany is a Radiologist at Southside Regional Hospital in Petersburg. She is married to Kyle Anger and lives in Petersburg, Virginia. Brittany prides herself as being my low maintenance daughter....probably right. I am proud that each of my daughters has matured into fine young ladies. And, they did it in spite of me, not because of me.
