Today's Featured Biography
Beverly Myers May
Hard to know where to begin with a bio. The past twenty years have been exciting to say the least. We’ve JUST made our 11th move in 13 years of marriage. Been together since college for 19 years now. My husband, Kent recently got out of the Army. He’s a pilot and was active for 13 years. We’ve lived in West Virginia, Kentucky, Tennessee, and have recently returned to Alabama. We’ve had the opportunity to travel to places such as Mexico, France, and Russia (Moscow and Siberia). Kent also returned from Iraq this past fall. I graduated from Marshall in 1991 with my Bachelors and then in 1993 with my Masters. (I studied toward my doctorate through WVU the year Kent was in Korea.) I have worked administratively mostly for colleges and universities as we’ve changed duty stations several times. Every place we’ve been has always had something special about it. Being in Alabama, on the border of Florida, we are close to the beaches. When we lived in Tennessee we were about 45 minutes from Nashville. Actually went the Country Music Awards this past year which was a lot of fun. Life slowed down a bit when our daughter came along, though. She’s now three and a bundle of energy as most are at that age. Jennifer began a new preschool here in Alabama a few weeks ago. Enrolled her in school before we even got unpacked! Guess that says where our priorities are. It’s nice to be in a familiar place again, knowing our way around. With the recent move and Kent starting a new job, I doubt we’ll make it back to Huntington for the reunion. I hope everyone has a great time, though. I look forward to hearing about it.
