Today's Featured Biography
John Semrad
After graduating from UW-Madison with an electrical and computer engineering degree, I briefly worked in California for the Federal Government/Department of Defense before returning to the Midwest. Since returning my career involved working in a variety of industries including Product Safety certification, Facility Management/Building Automation, Financial Services, Medical Devices, and Bio-Medical Research services. For 16 years I also held a FINRA Series 7 and 63 licenses as a financial consultant.
For over 38 years, I have been married to my beautiful and incredible loving wife Barbara. We raised two sons who are currently enjoying successful professional careers after obtaining software engineering degrees from MSOE. We have two, adorable grandchildren, who fulfill our lives with immense love, joy and cherished moments.
While raising our sons, I volunteered for 15 years as a youth sport team coach in baseball, soccer and basketball. Prior to that, I participated in numerous area adult competitive recreational sport leagues playing baseball, basketball and tennis.
My professional and personal travels have included visiting 43 states, Canada, most of western Europe, Finland, the Bahamas as well as two Caribbean cruises.
Currently enjoying the freedom and flexibility of retirement, grateful for spending time with family and jointly manage a variety of items around our house.
