Today's Featured Biography
William Griffin
I attended UWM for 5 years after graduation obtaining an Engineering BS degree and began their MBA program after having no job sucess. Not being sure of my future I only gave it a partial effort which resulted in my being politely ask to leave.
About that time I had a job offer and moved to Texarkana TX to start a training program as an Equipment Specialist with the Federal Government. That Year in Texas was about the best year of my life being paid to attend a school and doing most of my studies beside or in the POOL! We had 28 other students mostly unmarried guys so me played pool, baseball, football, and volley ball along with drinking a few beers. Following the year in Texas I moved to my permanent location which was to be Franfort Arsenal in Philadelphia. After about a year there I determined that Philly was expensive, dirty, and not very friendly.
On a vacation back to Wisconsin I applied at the local Defense Contract Administration office and within about 3 weeks I was relocated. I spent the next 33 years at several job titles ending my career as a QA Engineer covering the entire state of Wisconsin.
In 1975 shortly after my return from Philly I took a night class entitled "How to be Happy" I guess the class was a sucess because that is were I met my wife of 38+ years and still counting . . . We married in 1977 and expanded our family in 1981 with our daughter. Life has treated our family very well and I thank GOD every day for that. We have had no major healthy issues, steady employment, with our parents all living into their 80's or 90's (well my Dad did come 1 day short).
Our daughter got her degree from UW La Crosse and married about 4 years ago. She gave us a Grand son 19 months ago and in less than a month we should have a Grand daughter. (We also have 2 Grand dogs as well). They live about a hundred miles away so we get to see them about once a month.
My wife Barb worked full time till 1981 then became a stay at home mom for a few years. She returned to part time work at preschool and worked off and on for several years. We have both been retired since 2007 except for about 4 days per year as election poll workers in the town of Mukwonago. We pass the time playing cards quite a bit, I manage our finances as well as several other friends, and traveling. Since our retirement we have traveled to Alaska, Costa Rica, Washington DC, New Orleans, Upstate New York, Dublin Ohio, Ashville NC, Quebec Canada, Dallas, Savana GA, and the crown jewel was a river cruise acrossed Austria.
Yesterday I spent quite a bit of time looking at the class list and was shocked to see that nearly 10% of people in our classs are listed as deceased and I'm sure some of the "missing" should likely be list that way as well. Life has been fun but make the most of every day because the remaining days are numbered and we never know what the number is!

"Just discovered your product today while trying to locate classmates ahead of our 50th reunion in 2020. The fact that you did this in a noncommercial manner in a world where everything has a price tag deserves recognition and respect, in my view.
Thank you and good luck in all your endeavors."
