Today's Featured Biography
Laura Shomshak
Busy half century, and an interesting one! 2 years at TCC, 2 at WWSC for a BA in History, 4 at UW for Master's in Library Science. Worked about 35 years in libraries ( academic, research, and public) before a second 13- year stint in early childhood education ( queen of storytime)! Retired, and happy to be so!
Flunked marriage 3 times, swore never again and kept that vow for about 20 years, then met my fiance online. Brian is an artist 5 years my junior, and I LOVE being a COUGAR! FUNFUNFUNFUNFUN! We are getting married Oct. 5th, so we will probably be honeymooning during the reunion. His 26-year-old daughter calls us " those crazy seenagers". ( I you don't know about " seenagers", look it up!)
I decided at 60 that I needed more fun in my life, so I have enjoyed many new adventures. I have parasailed, paddleboarded, flown a helicopter over I-5, ziplined on Camano Island, done burlesque ( DON'T tell my mom!), earned Reserve Grand Champion in Lapidary Arts at the Fair for some opals I cut, made a reputation in textile arts, written a dozen plays and a novella, had up to 8 kitties, and done many more things. When Covid and time allow, I am slated for make-up adventures : glassblowing and indoor skydiving ( yes, it does exist!) and introducing my new husband to Shakespeare and spelunking. Life is good, and love is sweet!

"Just discovered your product today while trying to locate classmates ahead of our 50th reunion in 2020. The fact that you did this in a noncommercial manner in a world where everything has a price tag deserves recognition and respect, in my view.
Thank you and good luck in all your endeavors."
