Today's Featured Biography
Janet Ireland Neiman
I married Gary Neiman June l, 1963. We lived in Tacoma for a year. We bought a house on Fox Island and lived on the Island for 21 years.
We moved to Port Orchard in 1986. Then moved back to Gig Harbor in 2002.
Gary and I had a construction company and built houses on Fox Island, Port Orchard and Gig Harbor.
We enjoyed about 10 years in the Thoroughbred horse racing business. We ran at Longacres, Yakima and Spokane.
We retired from the construction company in 2008.
Gary passed away on June 4,2009 just 3 days after we celebrated our 46th aniversary.
I have been quilting for 5 years. Gary and I were into classic cars. I still have 2 of them, a 1925 Ford C-cab delivery and a 1939 Chevrolet 2 door sedan.
I enjoyed going to car shows with him.
Daughter,Angela married Shane Vanderlinda her high school sweet heart, teaches first grade in Tacoma. Been teaching now for 22years. She has two children a girl Jordan Christine and boy Nicholas.
Son,Gary,Jr., married to Christine, is a general contractor. He has two girls Shelby and Brittany.
One granddaughter is 21 and is in her third year at WSU. Two grandchildren are 17 and in their 3rd year at Gig Harbor High School the youngest granddaughter is going to be 15 in May and is a freshman at GHHS.
Am looking foreward to seeing everyone in September.
