Today's Featured Biography
Michele Harrison West
I got led here by my best friend since high school, Bethene Miller Edwards. I hope I can reconnect with some old friends!!
I got my Associate Degree in Business Management from NOVA, and after graduation I moved to the Kansas City area in 1990. I lived there for 2 years, and then I married Dave and he and I lived there for 12 more years. We lived in the Prairie Village area, and moved to Lawrence (home of KU)after the birth of our son. Dave worked on his master's degree in education, and worked for 5 years at a high school in Lawrence and a film and media teacher. Both before and after we had Tristan, I worked for the same company for 9 years, in the Kansas City area, doing data entry and inventory management for an appliance distributor.
It was after the birth of our daughter in 2003 that we planned on moving to the Pittsburgh area in Pennsylvania. Dave now has a great job still teaching TV and media classes, in a school district here. I had quit working when Tristan was about 2, and I have been a full-time mom ever since. Now my boy is 7 years old, and in 1st grade. My daughter is just over 2, and she and I spend all our days together. I wouldn't trade it for the world!!
My hobbies are scrapbooking and genealogy. I've been working on my family tree and ancestors since high school. I caught the scrapbooking bug when Tristan was born.
That's it in a nutshell. We're enjoying the Pittsburgh area, and will have lived here 2 years in August. In October this year, Dave and I will celebrate 14 years together.
