Sandra Henegar Nard
After high school I went to Chattanooga State and earned an Associates Degree in Business Administration. Then I transferred to UTC and earned a Bachelors Degree in Marketing. A few months before graduation, I started dating my husband, Joe.
We were married in July 1993 in Chattanooga, then Joe was transferred 6 months later to Nashville. My daughter, Rachel, was born in Murfreesboro, TN in 1994. In March 1995, we made our final transfer to Little Rock, AR. Kevin came along 4 years later in 1999.
I have worked mostly in banking or insurance, picking up a lot of computer experience along the way. I have been at Farm Bureau Insurance since 2000 and I am currently the Product Development Coordinator. I am responsible for developing and updating all products for Arkansas, including insurance policies, endorsements, product brochures, letters and disclosures to insureds, insurance forms, etc. I am also responsible for making sure the company is compliant with the Insurance Department. I have taken a lot of insurance courses and have my Associate in Insurance Services (AIS) and Personal Insurance (API) Designations. I am working on my CPCU (Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter). I also find the time to teach other education students.
In my spare time, I hang out with my teenage daughter watching chick flicks, listening to music, playing on the internet, or shopping. My husband and I love to play golf and pool (we met on a pool league). I play video games and Rock Band with my son. (We Rock).
I am very active with my church. I sing in the choir and I have been a children's Sunday School teacher for 8 years.
I was much wilder in my early days, but now I'm just a mom who loves spending time with her kids.
