Today's Featured Biography
Joan Reed Posipanko
I graduated from St. Francis School of Nursing in 1963 and received a BS from St. Joseph's College in ME in the early 80's. During the next several years, I
married Jim, had 3 children (Jay, Dan and Christine) and worked at St. Lukes, Ostepathic Lehigh Vally Hospital. Looking for no weekends and no holidays I switched
positions in the early 70's and began working for Lehigh Valley Child Care as an infant nurse, Center Director and Director of Ancillary Services (that means having nursing, purchasing and the Child Care Food Program responsibilities - it gave me lots of experience). In 1988, I accepted the postion of Executive Director of
Meals on Wheels of Northampton County for the next 17+ years and retired from there in 2006.
Today, we're busy camping, traveling and following the lives of 9 grandchildren: Zachary (22) and his wife Danie, Anastasia (21), Nick (19),JJ (18), Samantha (17), Corinthian (17), Kwesi (15), Alec (14) and Ayanna (12). Their main interests are music (following Jim's footsteps), sports and
computers. Keeping up with them keeps us busy.
Other interests are reading, computer games, crocheting and knitting.
