Today's Featured Biography
Gary Langenderfer
After graduation, I earned my first degree in 1971 and the second, with a major in accounting, in 1987.
The positions I held, have included State of Ohio Field Auditor, City of Waterville Finance Officer, and Metroparks of the Toledo Area Treasurer/CFO. Subsequent to retiring from the Metroparks, I held part time financial positions with two different non-profits.
I have had a professional career in the accounting field, beyond my dreams. I believe the foundation for this career, is the two degrees from the University of Toledo.
I also served with the 200th Squadron of the Ohio Air National Guard (Red Horse) attaining the rank of Staff Sergeant. Through the Guard, I acquired valuable skills, was deployed on trips that provided memories that will last a lifetime and made friendships that I still have today.
This total time represented over thirty six years of public service, for which I am both thankful and very proud of.
My main hobby is tackling just about any project around our home. Once started, these projects seem to go on and on, prompting family members and neighbors to inquire as to when I will ever be done.
I have been married to Jill Quigg, (Northwood Class of 1973) for over 40 years. God has truly blessed me with this woman in my life. She has been a true blessing, to not only me, but to our entire family. Jill and I have one daughter, a son-in-law and two of the best grandchildren a couple could ask for. We are thankful that they are residing locally.
Jill and I have resided in Maumee, Ohio for over 30 years and are very active in St Paul’s Lutheran Church. We have both accepted the Lord into our lives and home and are very thankful for what He has done for us.
