Today's Featured Biography
Linda Freeman Clifford
After graduating from South Point in 1966, I enrolled in St. Mary's School of Nursing. I graduated & passed my State Board Examination in 1969, & have worked at St. Mary's since then.
I have always worked in surgery, first specializing in General Surgery, then in Plastics, and finally in Orthopedic Surgery for about 12 years. In 1991, I became the Computer Coordinator for the O.R. Since then, my title & my duties have changed to include Materials Management for the Operating Room, with my title now being, Clinical Resource Coordinator.
In, 1971, I married Randy Clifford from Lewisburg, WV. He is a couselor & social worker in Charleston, WV. We have 2 children, Kristopher Matthew, born in Feb 1976, & Amber Kathryn, born in Dec 1977.
My children are grown & away from home, although neither of them has married as yet. My daughter works at Amazon.com in Huntington, as well as, having her own business. Her business is a coffee house, known as The Java Joint, across from Marshall University.
My son will finish his Master's Degree in English this spring. He has had a Graduate Assistant position with Marshall University, as well as, working part time at Publisher's Place, a publishing company in Huntington.
My main interests, besides work & family, are photography and traveling, (mostly to places where I can take more pictures). I am also something of a movie buff, a genealogy researcher and a technology addict. My career, unfortunately interferes with my hobbies so I don't get to spend as much time on them as I would like.
My favorite teachers at SPHS were Mr Kane & Mr Burger
