Update:
unfortunately I'm not going to make the reunion, as much fun as I think it would be. I was trying to describe to Karen that she's never ever seen me laugh the way that guys like Mike Cross, Jimbo, and Dan Scharff can (and that's just because of their mullets). I'll try to send a note and some pics from Iraq, but I expect I'll be a bit busy for the first 90 days or so until we get our stuff together on the ground. Much has changed their since my first tour so, no assumptions made.
going to ship out of here on or about my birthday for Iraq. Short stint in Kuwait getting some final training in, with a one year tour ahead of us in OIF. Continues a long tradition of the Army f-ing with my birthday... Expect to have a one year (not 15 month thank the Lord) tour, and then see what big Army has in store for the family and I after that. Or if you vote Democrat, I'll be home by Christmas.. really, they can pull a Brigade out a week. It's possible. Really.
Karen and I recently announced our first pregnancy...baby is due in late FEB or early MAR of 09. Not sure if I'll be able to get to see the birth, but should be home shortly thereafter (for two weeks R+R). We're excited, I'm nervous. Does life ever get LESS complicated?
I did manage to track down Jean-Bernard. The original "Renaissance Man" is teaching in the Vancouver area, so perhaps we can consider him "found".
Thanks for the emails, thoughts, prayers, and well wishes. Keep praying for your Soldiers.
--------------- OLD STUFF --------------
currently living in Colorado Springs with my lovely bride Karen.. about to finish up my 15th year as a Field Artillery Officer in the Army (5 to go!), currently serving as S3 (Operations Officer) for 3d Battalion, 16th Field Artillery (Thunder Pride), Direct Support to 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division and preparing for another tour in Iraq.
...have lived in or deployed all over the US and around the world, with a few really enjoyable spots along the way, especially Savannah GA, New Orleans LA, and now very close to my Mom and Dad in Colorado Springs. Oklahoma, Kansas, Texas, Kuwait, Kosovo, and Baghdad along the way... and a few trips not sponsored by Uncle Sam to Ireland, the UK, Bavaria, Czech Republic, Mexico and a number of islands in the Carribean..
Cheers to all.. it's gratifying to see everyone doing so well.

Thank you and good luck in all your endeavors."
