Today's Featured Biography
Bill Bible
I knew that college was not the right path for me right after school; since I could not convince my parents of this I decided to just have the time of my life while I was there. So one year wasted was a valuable lessoned learned. The following year forced me to make some serious choices in how I was going to approach the rest of my life and the hospitality industry was the catylyst. Started my career at the downtown Poughkeepsie hotel and entered Dutchess Community College to reposition myself to transfer to a 4 year university that offered a degree in my field. I was accpeted to Widener University where my previous work experience really paid off; accelerating my time to graduation. I had the honor of serving as the Student President of the University's Hotel Association and upon graduation accpeted a management position with Double Tree Hotels in Nashville, Tennesse. Spent three years in Nashville expanding my career in food and beverage management, but the long hours would soon lead to my next transformation. I took a step back from managment and rebuilt my career in Information Technology Services; just so happens it was during the DOT COM boom. Moved back home to work for IBM for a brief stay before I got picked up by a boutique investment bank in Manhattan that would serve as the foundation for the career I enjoy today, IT Outsourcing Consulting.(on a side I just completed a 12 day consulting tour around the world from Brazil to Tokyo to Brussels to Paris to Sweden to London and back home to Toronto)
For a while I commuted from Poughkeepsie to Park Avenue; bumping into many Lourdean's along the way. Finally settled on Park Slope, Brooklyn and spent 3 years there before my brother and I got reaquainted and decided to share a loft in Ft Greene, in the Pratt University area ,that offered us an amazing space with some of the best views of Manhattan. Unfortunately that was short lived, as I was offered a major opportunity to change companies and lead an IT services project that was to be delivered out of Toronto for the bank, that had just outsourced my division. That was four years ago; along the way I have made a great life for myself in Toronto where I share it with my beautiful wife Karri. We were married on September 9th 2006 in Rhinebeck New York. We decided to call Toronto home to be close to her mom. Toronto is a great city and Karri and I have a beautiful condo on the waterfront overlooking Lake Ontario. We make several trips, mother-in-law (included most times), to the states to visit family and friends. On one occassion we actually bumped into Felicia Koch on the platform of Metro North one Christmas Eve; had it not been for that moment I would not be sharing this with you today.
Karri and I are avid golfers and enjoy travelling to the carribean to escape the Canadian winters. I have a passion for photography and have also rekindled my hobby in Dj'ng, but none of that top 40 dance pop music we had so much fun playing in the 80's - now it's pure House (Progressive, Deep, Electro, Minimal, Tech). I have made a small name for myself in the music community here in Toronto and have received crtical recognition for the compilations I have created and shared with the Toronto House community. It offers me a space to challenge myself creatively and musically.
In closing I have to say that it is truly a pleasure to see so many profiles on here. Life is such an amazing place with so many ways to go. To know that we entered the world from one distinct place not knowing what to expect twenty years out is a reminder of the many possibilities life offers. Karri and I will not have the privlege of being with you all in October as we have to attend to a family affair in California, but we want to extend to you a great weekend reunion and should you ever want to take a trip to the other side of the border just ping us and we would love to show you around.
Go Warriors!!!

"Just discovered your product today while trying to locate classmates ahead of our 50th reunion in 2020. The fact that you did this in a noncommercial manner in a world where everything has a price tag deserves recognition and respect, in my view.
Thank you and good luck in all your endeavors."
