After graduation, I went to college at NMSU and graduated with a BS in Ag and Extension Education. Surprise! I met and married Sherry Ayres from San Jon during our Senior year. We moved back to Aztec where both of us taught school. I taught for 10 years and then I received my Master's in Educational Adminstration from ENMU in Portales. I went on to be an administrator at Aztec High School and Koogler Middle School. I was appointed Assistant Superintendent here in Aztec and oversaw the busses and personnel for about 3 years. I was later appointed Superintendent and retired in October of 2003. I have since worked for David H Paul, Inc. and served as Operations Manager for the company up until July of 2008. My son and I, Chad, purchased Premier Fitness of Aztec and I have been helping run the fitness center from April 2011 until we sold it in February 2018. Sherry and I had three awesome children. All 3 have made us proud by graduating with a degree and starting a wonderful family.
Melissa who married Scott Nicholson. They live in Las Vegas, Nevada where Scott works in Dueling Piano Bars on the strip. Melissa is a counselor at an elementary school in Henderson, Nevada. They have 2 beautiful daughters (Sienna - 13 and Chelsea - 10).
Kimberly married Eric Thornton. They live in Aztec where Eric is a Sheriff for San Juan County and Kim is a counselor at Aztec High School. They have one beautiful daughter (Aspyn) who graduated from AHS and is Assistant Manager of Citizens Bank 20th Street Branch in Farmington. Their youngest daughter, Aubrey, is in 4th grade at Park Avenue Elementary in Aztec.
Chad married Jocelyn Sabin. They also live in Aztec where Chad works for Hilcorp. Jocelyn teaches Music at Park Avenue Elementary. They have 4 remarkable kids (Halle graduated and is currently working and attending CNM in Albuquerque, Ethan will graduate from AHS in May, Jayci is 14 and attends Koogler Middle School and Kamryn is 11 and attends 5th grade at Park Avenue)
As you can see, my life has been blessed and I am enjoying every day of my retirement. Sherry taught 35 years plus and spends her time substitute teaching as needed, quilting and spending time with our grandkids.

"Just discovered your product today while trying to locate classmates ahead of our 50th reunion in 2020. The fact that you did this in a noncommercial manner in a world where everything has a price tag deserves recognition and respect, in my view.
Thank you and good luck in all your endeavors."
