Today's Featured Biography
David Homan
I enjoyed X-Country, Swim, Track. Newspaper/Yearbook Photographer, Newspaper Sports Writer; Music -- concert/marching band/swing choir (drums) Taught Beginner Swim lessons at Burke, Monroe. I drove a '63 Chevy II Nova
I have a BS Meteorology, St. Louis Univ (Fresh/Soph at UNL, Marching Band -- saw several Bryan folks there; Jr/Sr at STL, swim team, AF ROTC); some post-grad weather classes through Creighton while at Offutt, but just never got any further.
Great vacations were at Rocky Mtn Nat'l Park; Cape Hatteras, NC; 2 yrs in Seoul, S. Korea w/family (USAF).
I married Linda Slizoski ('73) in 1976. "Officially" met her on a trip to World's of Fun in summer '75 with "former" girlfriend Denise Moulton ('73) and her boyfriend in summer '75, and 2 other couples. We've been together ever since. We get to OMA every 2-3 years.
We attend Assembly of God and have been playing drums in church since 1980 and finally getting the hang of it.
I enjoyed WJBHS Sports, a couple of billiards parties in my basement, rode down 48th St down the big hill north of school with swim team members at 90 mph...twice; Debbie Reinbold, Debbie Reed (to make Bob Ponec jealous), Denise Moulton ('73). Was in the band that played for Bryan's Homecoming Bonfire party next to John Thompsen's in '68 or '69, at the end of 42nd St. We didn't get anything thrown at us, so we must have been good enough.
Toured Europe for 3 weeks with the US Collegiate Wind Band - quite an eye-opener for an 18-yr-old. Then college, USAF for 11 years (Arkansas, Offutt, S.Korea, Ft. Worth -- as forecaster, radar trainer, computer programmer).

"Just discovered your product today while trying to locate classmates ahead of our 50th reunion in 2020. The fact that you did this in a noncommercial manner in a world where everything has a price tag deserves recognition and respect, in my view.
Thank you and good luck in all your endeavors."
