Rory Turner
Gaduated, went to Kansas State University, Manhattan,KS, graduated a couple of times with degrees in Architecture, worked/lived in St. Louis, MO for a year working on projects all over the United States-joined the US Peace Corps, Morroco, worked lived with bedouin populations in the Saharan regions, then lived/worked with Beber populations in the High Atlas Mountains, finished Peace Corps service, stayed in Morocco, moved to Rabat,became a foreign consultant working-translating-designing for firms in North Africa, met 1st wife Pam, crossed the Sahara a few times, hitch hiking, living in local communities and working, ended up in Monrovia, Liberia, moved back to the USA, settled in Tucson/Nogales area of Arizona, worked on Health Care Facilities for big firm CRS in late 80s,then was asked to interview to be Master Planner for prisons for the Washington DC living and traveling from Cleveland, Ohio, worked as Master Planner for 5 years, then went on to work on/design facilities throughout the USA and Mexico, left Ohio firm in 2001, divorced, came to work for Heery, work on Educational Facilities, Public Buildings, became a Construction Manager/Construction Program Manager working in English/Spanish/French speaking places, now work in eastern USA primarily and french speaking Canada, kids are pretty American (seem to want to watch tv, eat hot dogs, hamburgers) re-married 3 years, wife is half Bajan (Barbadian, furthest eastern island in the Carribbean), she is a lawyer who hates practicing law and loves to dance, travel, speak french and have fun, we just returned from Heidelbeg, Germany where she was born...we spend a lot of time having fun, loving all of our children and wishing people well....which is what I learned to do at Benson
