Jim and I dated from 11th grade through college and married in 1965. After he finished grad school at NC State in 1969, we moved to Anaheim, CA, where I retired from teaching and enjoyed being a stay-at-home mom for 10 years. When Jim started his own business, I helped out in small ways. As the busines grew, my participation expanded to full-time office managerial responsibilities. We moved the family and the business to Raleigh in 1984. I retired a second time when the company was sold in 1995. A few years later, we moved to Punta Gorda, FL, a small town on a large river, somewhat like New Bern in a semi-tropical setting. I enjoy boating and traveling with Jim, dabbling in art, and visiting our children and grandchildren.
