Today's Featured Biography
Tracey Roland
Wow! Where do I start ... First off, I'm glad to know that many of you are alive and well (virtual hugs for all), Praise God! Second, I am saddened to hear that some are not (truly saddened)...
Tracey, post High School: A few years after High School I married a military man and left Greenville. Five years post marriage, I gave birth to (my only child to date) a beautiful baby girl. When she was born, I was born, i.e., I had a desire and a reason to open my heart/my [spiritual] eyes, my life. Before my daughter, I rarely took anything seriously...but when she entered the world, I entered the world. In short, I am a Mother in EVERY aspect of the word. A Mother is not just who I am (a title); it's more of what I do/how I live. She is now 14 and I am very, very proud of her accomplishments: academically and characteristically. To God be the Glory!
Enough of that (grabbing Kleenex), lol!! Moving right along, I degreed in Paralegalism and also became a Certified Medical Transcriptionist; neither of which I am active in today (God's plans totally annihilated my path/plans, lol). At present, I work with mentally, physically, and economically disadvantaged children and adults. And I LOVE IT! It's a great platform to allow God in me to be a light in some very dark places.
Well, that's my spill!!! We are talking twenty yearzzzzzzzzz!! I'll end by saying, although I have glorified "a hint" of the high points in my life, there have been many lows: storms, struggles, disappointments. However, I'm "Still Standing"! To God be the Glory!! I have learned, IT'S NOT HOW WE START; IT'S HOW WE FINISH. Sorry I missed the last reunion; hope to catch the next one. My prayer is continued success, peace and love for you all.
