TERRY SCOTT

Since graduation.....1974,I have attempted many things. After working forever, I decided to go back to school.obtaining three AAS Degrees from Guilford Technical Community College. With these degrees, I worked in Charlotte, NC for 5 years. After doing what i thought was the job of a Social Worker, I decided to return home and attend North Carolina A&T State University (GO AGGIES) where i recieved my BSW in Social Work with emphasis in Education, prompting me to take a job as a School Social Worker in Durham, NC.

I have been employed there since 1994, starting out in Elementary schools(4),then a Middle School, and presently at Southern High School, where I have been since February, 2008. I must say this has been a most challenging year of all...Who knew that high school could have sooo many problems.Its truly a different day and time from when we were kids. All this to say, I really enjoy what I do, especially when i know i have made a difference in a childs life.
