Shortly after high school I went into the Marine Corps. After that I spent a few years at DeVry here in KC and majored in accounting. I realized quickly that I hated sitting behind a desk, so left school and I am now an Ironworker for Local #10 Union. I have been in the Union now for 14 years and have worked on some of KC’s biggest icon projects, and currently work for Bratton Steel Corp.
Met my wife Suzie in 1990, (believe it or not….cruising on Noland Road). We dated for some time and got married in March of 1994. We love spending time together, hanging out with friends, drinking wine, camping, etc… and love to be with our kids when we aren’t working. She also works full time as the Sr. Marketing Coordinator of McCownGordon Construction (a large commercial general contractor).
In December 1995, we had our 1st child Abigayle, then in 1998, our 2nd Spencer. Abigayle is definitely a girly girl and is quickly becoming a beautiful young lady with an attitude of a 16 year old… look out world! Spencer is playing competitive soccer for KC Select and is really good. Both are smart and doing well in school, so I am not quite sure where they get their brains.
We are currently still living in Raytown and have been since we got married, with our two kids, a dog and cat. I guess we are just the typical boring American Family.
