Today's Featured Biography
Mickey Bennett Ebert
After teaching for 31 years at Blue Springs in elementary and 7th grade Social Studies, I retired in May, 2007. After a month in China, I decided to go back and teach one more year. So, I spent a year teaching fourth grade in Shawnee Mission. Now I have a new career and I am the Education Specialist at the National Archives at Kansas City. I love it and am planning to work there 5 more years before I retire again. I don't do retirement very well - I really like working more. Crazy, I know, but it's true.
My grown children bring me great joy! Kerri is a licensed therapist, John manages Marine housing, and Teryn is an Occupational Therapist after spending a couple of years as a scientist at the National Lab at Los Alamos, NM. I know, I barely passed biology and never took another science class! I have the 2 most beautiful grandchildren in the world - really, I've been checking!
I still act in musicals, but on the community level. Acting keeps me from taking myself too seriously. I've had a great time in my life so far and I'm looking for the next adventure.
