Today's Featured Biography
Evelyn Nesbit
Ugh, I never know what to say here. My life is more than what I do for a living, but since I mentioned it . . .
I'm self-employed in the video/film production industry in Kansas City. I've been self-employed in the production industry since 1995. I mostly work on corporate videos - Sprint, Hallmark, KCP&L, H&R Block, etc. and the occasional commercial - Wal-Mart, MO Lottery, Coca-Cola, etc. Work is usually enjoyable because the people in my industry are fun, creative, talented and professional. We have a good time and do great work and the work dynamic is usually wonderful with plenty of laughs and hugs mixed in the long and stressful days/nights.
I bought a little house in Lee's Summit seven years ago this September. I'm so glad to have my little home and it's almost enough space for me . . . of course I still want the gourmet kitchen, grand master suite with the spa-like bathroom and stroll-in closet . . . but that may have to wait. Of course there are always projects that need to be done and things on my wish list but I think that is par for home ownership. And even though it is not perfect, it's home, it's mine and I feel I'm very fortunate.
The rest of my story is pretty abstract. I'm so very grateful to be alive and try not to take that for granted. I've recently been challenged with some health issues and realize how precious life really is. I do my best to maintain an open heart and open mind. I love to laugh and adore a witty &/or quirky sense of humor. I love to share my time with cherished family and friends - both talking in depth and getting philosophical (solving all the world's problems, of course) to giggling non-stop and finding the fun in the mundane. I love creativity, interior and exterior aesthetics, the arts, beautiful and interesting architecture, and of course, foo-foo she-she sparkling things - after all, in many ways I'm still the same girly-girl as always (just an older and wiser version).
Dang, that 'older' thing is really prevalent writing this bio for our 30th class reunion. Where did all the time go? I'm still just a kid at heart and certainly don't feel 47 years old (whatever THAT feels like). I remember when I thought 40 was OLD . . . now, not so much!! I like to think we're just approaching our prime and getting better every day!!!

Thank you and good luck in all your endeavors."
