Today's Featured Biography
LAWRENCE NAPIER
Hey all! After 13 years in the Marine Corps I finally hung up the saber and settled down way up here in Wisconsin near the north pole! Remember the big snows we used to get back in the 70s? Well, it's worse up here and I can tell you there aint no such thing as global warming where I live.
It turns out all of those "Ms" and "Is" I used to get from Pistol Pete, Mr Boin and Mr. Hessel didn't matter much, because I ended up going to college and actually learning something regardless.
I live in Wisconsin, however work as a data center manager for a global IBM data center in Kentucky that is tied to sister data centers in Singapore and England, via system engineers in Argentina, through a service support team in Canada. Confusing enough? Ok, well I still haven't figured it out, but I don't let on. Anyway, if you are wondering what I do for a living, I manage a huge facility with lots o' computers in it that support business systems in over 73 countries.
On the home front, I've ended up sprouting two boys, a girl and adopted another girl from Russia. Kyle (19) is in college seeking a medical degree, Ryan (17) is a Junior and is trying to figure out what the heck he wants to do; Bethy (15) is a Freshman fighting off Senior boys; GRRRR. and Irina (13) is still trying to grow out of Hanna Montanna.
My humanitarian claim to fame is helping to build a children's home in Sri Lanka (Check out cherithintl.org).
I'm currently a work-aholic, who could use some friend time so drop me a line if you have a chance.
I'd like to hear from all of you and I'll definately make it to the 25th. That will give me some time to work on my six pack.....I know it's under there somewhere!
