Ten years… Everyone says I can’t believe it’s been that long. Well, I can. I’m starting to thin out on top and develop that gut that just won’t go away, I feel like I’m well on my way to being a sketchy looking middle aged man. All in all though, it’s been a pretty good ten years for me. I spent a lot of time roaming the eastern seaboard doing my part to keep the microbreweries in business wherever the Navy decided to stick me (this might explain that sneaking gut). Along the way I managed to meet and marry a very pretty girl from Maine and have two fantastic kids with her (not necessarily in that order). We have decided that the Navy life is no good for families so I finally just got out after almost ten years of service including a 7 month trip around the globe on a fast attack submarine in 2006/7. Believe me, it sounds cooler than it really was. Anyhow, June 25th was my last day in the Navy and now I am finally free and trying to convince myself to look for a job. My family and I moved from crappy Connecticut to yay! New Hampshire. Well, it is Monday and Renee says this has to be done by today (still turning things in last minute) so I will see lots of you in less than a week. Tomorrow morning my wife and I are getting up bright and early to drive back to good ole Minnesota. Looking back I’m surprised how much stuff I remember from all that growing up in Mound stuff and how curious I am what happened to everyone after we all scattered in the wind.
