After high school I attended the University of North Dakota where I aspired to be an airline pilot. Upon graduating, I moved back to the Twin Cities, where I worked many different jobs. Finally, I decided to pursue postions in the airline industry again. I became an aircraft dispatcher and moved to Cheyenne Wy and worked for a small regional airline, Great Lakes Airlines. While there I thought about pursuing the airline pilot job that I had always wanted to do, I already had all the ratings and certificates, just not too many hours. But they would have hired me, but after seeing how crappy pilots are treated I decided against that. So I moved on to bigger and better airlines, America West Airlines in Phoenix. I moved to Phoenix and had a great house with a pool, it was awesome. What a difference from growing up in MN!! Ended up moving back to Cheyenne, WY after America West was in the process of taking over US Airways, I was the lowest seniority dispatcher and things really weren't looking good so I got out of there. I spent a year in Cheyenne before moving to Omaha, NE. I now work for the Union Pacific Railroad as a train dispatcher. Just about everything that you purchase, from cars to fruit and veggies from Calif to all the crap from China, I have a part in moving it across the country. So far I like the job, but I have aspirations of moving into higher management positions within the company. That about sums up my work life.
I met my wife in Cheyenne, WY. She had moved to Phoenix with me, that's where we became engaged. A few weeks prior to starting with the Union Pacific, we were married. We live in Omaha with our two dogs, Vinnie (Pug) and Paisley (Maltese). The dogs are our kids.
With the very late notice of the reunion and my eratic work schedule I was unable to attend the reunion, I really missed doing so. I am hoping I will be able to get up there next time. See ya all later, Dave

"Just discovered your product today while trying to locate classmates ahead of our 50th reunion in 2020. The fact that you did this in a noncommercial manner in a world where everything has a price tag deserves recognition and respect, in my view.
Thank you and good luck in all your endeavors."
