Today's Featured Biography
Lois Woehrer Moose Giannetti
After high school, I had a job as a secretary which was incredibly boring. After spending three months in Europe with a friend, I came back and was hired by Century Camera, a large photographic supply house back in the 70s. That led me to take a job as manager of Gopher Camera. There I met my current husband who was a photographer in New York who had just moved to Minnesota in the early 70s. I first married another photographer who worked at the Dayton's Photography Studio. We were married for 27 years when he died of emphysema in 1999. Three years later I married Joseph Giannetti, the photographer that I met at Gopher Camera so many years ago.
Because I was so heavily involved in photography, I took a job managing a company that did slideshows, processed digital slides, design slideshows and designed slide graphics for advertising agencies and Fortune 500 companies. I eventually became Vice President. Because I knew that computers were taking over the industry, I then joined a company that had implemented the new technology, Creative Visuals. I eventually became VP/manager of this company as well. Between these two companies, I was in this business for 17 years. But I saw the handwriting on the wall and knew that most of the companies that we worked with were bringing this service in-house.
So what next? I hate to admit I did not have a college degree and wanted to make decent money - at least as much as I was making at the time. So I decided to get my real estate license and that was the best thing that ever happened to me. I am currently an active Real Estate Agent with Coldwell Banker Burnet. It has been a very rewarding career and business could not be better.
My current husband went from photographer to artist and his work can be seen on www.Giannetti.com. My website is www.rlty.me/Moose. I love keeping up on technology and could not do without my iPhone or iPad. The new service that I am really excited about is VirtualStaging which means that my husband takes pictures of vacant homes that I am listing for sale and I send them to Colorado to digitally stage them. We live in a townhome in Minneapolis with our dog "Tank". Life is good.
