I got word this month that Lane Hart has died in Jan. He lived in CA. Word has it he had Alzheimers disease.

I retired from the Minneapols P.D. in 2008. We are really enjoying retirement, and realize that every day is a gift! and wonder how we ever found the time to work. Going on road trips is another thing we enjoy. I think we have 5 more states to click off and then we have seen them all. Our daughter, Rebecca married a very nice fellow in 2018, and they brought us a very special grandaughter, Ida, who will turn 3 in December. She is the love of our life and she keeps us young!
I am still the gear head that I was years ago. I love my 1938 Chev.Coupe street Rod that I have had for 40 years. About 5 years ago, just before Covid-19 hit, I had the car repainted Salsa Red, and it looks quite spiffy. A few years ago,I built a new shop in the back yard that is dedicated to my coupe, and I have made it into quite a man cave and a good place to hide out. I produce an 8 page monthly newsletter for my local car club, and also serve as president. I'm happy to report that I still have all of my original parts including hips & knees and haven't seen a hospital room since 1969! I must be doing something right!
