Patricia Laberdie Vicory

I am married again to a wonderful Christian man on May 27, 2005...almost a year! I do believe this union is divinely inspired. I was working at the Christian bookstore, Agape Booksellers, last year (2005) and I met my husband in person while I was employed there. We had been communicating via the computer for about a month prior to meeting in person. He came into the store with his daughter (who had previously known several years ago). I didn't know this was her father until she introduced us and then he saw my name on my ID tag and asked if I was the lady who he had been communicating with on the computer. We were both shocked and awe-struck to say the least. It was really mind-blowing! He had been a widower for about 14 years and used to work as a Sheriff's Deputy for Jackson County and also was the Department Head for Leoni Township Police for a short while. We know many of the same people; i.e., judges, attorneys, prosecutors, police officers, etc.. We never knew one another personally before meeting at Agape last October, 2005.
We dated and Charles proposed to me on my birthday, February 9, 2005. We were married in Grass Lake at St. Jacob Lutheran Church, and we spent our honeymoon at Mackinac Island, staying in the Grand Hotel. We were treated like a king and queen there! It was an experience I shall always treasure! I would highly recommend staying at the Grand...WONDERFUL!

I am retired from the State of MI, Dept. of Corrections as a Secretary after 32+ years. Most of my employment with the Dept. of Corrections was in the Circuit Court Probation Office; however, I retired from the prison system in Jackson. I am currently working part-time as a Legal Secretary for two attorneys, Wendell Jacobs & Jerry Engle, in Jackson. Another answered prayer!

Let's see... I have a a very spoiled rotten dog, a Schnauzer, Hansel, who is now 12 years old. He's my "kid" as I never had any children of my own. I have three step-grandsons from my previous marriage; Zachary, age 13; Aaron, age 11, and Bryce, age 6. I also have two stepgrandsons from my current marriage; namely, Michael, age 5, and Logan, age 1. Charles has a daughter, Elizabeth, who had already known a few years ago, and a son, David. David is the father of Michael and Logan.
