The fall of 1966 brought me to Becker Junior College in Worcester, MA. After graduation, my next stop was Burlington, Vermont and a job at UVM. It was in Burlington that I met my husband, Ted. After we were married in 1971 we lived outside of NYC in Westchester County for two years until we purchased a home in NJ. In 1976, Ted took a job transfer to Cleveland, OH where he is from and we have resided here ever since. I guess this officially makes me a “Buckeye”! We have two children; Jennifer lives in Hackettstown, NJ with her husband and their three children ages 10, 8 and 6. Our son, Joshua, lives in Natick, MA with his wife and two children ages 4 and 2. We make regular trips to North Adams to visit my Mom (91) who lives independently in her home and to visit our children and grandchildren.
As soon as the children reached school age, I was able to find part-time jobs which would enable me to be home when the children were. When the children reached college age, I thought I should help defray the costs associated with college and get a full-time job. My original plan was to work for maybe 5 years…..which turned into 17. About 3 years ago I decided it was time to retire and I haven’t looked back.
Sincere thanks to those responsible for this web page and planning for our 50th Reunion.
