Graduate of University of Massachusetts, Amherst, 1967, in Civil Engineering. Worked in Los Angeles for three months then drafted. Graduated from Officer's Candidate School, US Air Force in February 1968 and spent five years in USAF Civil Engineers. Assigned to Virginia, New Jersey, and Thule Greenland. Employed by Stone & Webster Engineering in Boston for twenty years and worked in Internal Auditing and Project Management. While with Stone & Webster, lived in Boston, London, England, Sharon, MA, Al Khobar, Saudi Arabia, and Falmouth.
Married in 1979 to Joyce Crockford of Fitchburg, MA, a teacher. Two daughers, Sonya born 1981; and Katherine, born 1984.
Self employed (Landcraft Corp) for 18 years land developer, energy project developer, and bank consultant. Presently semi-retired and working in renewable energy and living in Falmouth since 1988.
Interests are boating, skiing, historical travel, folk festivals and frequent visits to daughters in Newport, RI and San Diego, CA.
