I am trying to get an informal reunion together for the SMS classes of 1987-1992. This covers everyone from the years that I was at SMS. The layout would look like this.


The scheduled date is Saturday, June 25 through Sunday, June 26,2005. We will meet at the American Bandstand club at 8:00pm on Saturday night. I will be there with balloons. Just look for me. The Saturday night theme in the club is Saturday Night Fever. If you want to come early for dinner, please RSVP to me by June 1,2005 so they can reserve an area for all of us. Everyone will be responsible for their own meals, etc. On Sunday, June 26, we will meet at Shawnee Mission Park at 12pm. To save on costs, everyone needs to bring enough food, etc. to feed your own family. That way, we can keep the costs down and make sure everyone has something to eat. You can stay at the park as long as you want. Again, I will be there with balloons. Just look for me there. I am going to try to have the covered area reserved.

I will have a GREAT collection of music playing at the park. These songs range from the years 1968-1992. Let’s face it, we all were growing up in the 70s and 80s. For those of you who were already grown ups in those years, just relive those years. This spans from the years we were born to the year we graduated and beyond for some. When you hear these you may remember having these songs on record and driving your family nuts by playing them over and over again. Or perhaps you might have heard some of these on the radio when you hung out at the pool staring at that lifeguard you had a mad crush on. And you may even remember the school skating parties and the weekends you hung out there acting like the coolest cat in the world. Don’t forget the songs on the radio when you left for lunch or had your Senior Skip days anywhere BUT school. Maybe it was the weekends you hung out at Shawnee Mission Park or you spent watching MTV with those scantily clad video vixens. Don’t forget those songs you danced with your sweetheart to at the dances, especially your prom. Each one will make you smile. You will be dancing and singing right along.

Anyone interested in going, please let me know. I need an idea of the numbers we are looking at. Please try to RSVP by June 1, 2005. Of course, everyone can go,even if you haven't sent an RSVP or even if you only attended SMS for a short time but would have graduated in those classes. All notifications will be done by email
