55 Year Reunion Announcement!
Looking ahead to the next reunion! |
Friday,
August
3,
2029
|
We had a great 50-year reunion in August 2024 and look forward to meeting up again in 2029. We had 75 attendees at the 50-year reunion, thanks to the organizing work of the class reunion committee.
We're trying to keep this class directory updated, and have added several new bios, photos and obituaries since the 50-year reunion. Our hope is that this remains a "relatively" up-to-date record of our class's coming and goings, so feel free to update your bio at any time.
Also you can ask to join our Class Facebook page at any time (which is a little more user friendly and easy to ready). It's called the "McPherson (Ks.) High School Class of 1974."
See you in '29! |

Today's Featured Biography
Tom Eisenbart
High School Memories:
#1) Meeting Rene Andreas at the Senior Skip party at the lake, and what would be the beginning of a relationship that I dreamed of, which continues today. We can thank Sheryl Bradley, random chance, and perhaps something more for this meeting. Given how things have turned out, I am grateful beyond words.
BIO:
The first order of business after leaving high school was how to live independently away from home. While some do this in a college dormitory, we did not. Six years later I entered college, then attended Western States Chiropractic College, now University of Western States in Portland Oregon with its reputation for science based education, graduating in 1986. I chose a locum tenens practice over conventional, providing service for doctors and their patients in the greater Portland area. I retired in 2020, the Covid pandemic making that decision easier. I still pinch myself from time to time on how much I appreciate this phase. "Retirement, a time to do what you want to do, when you want to do it, where you want to do it, and how you want to do it".--Catherine Pulsifer
Our two sons live locally. We are close as a family and love doing things together and helping each other.
I enjoy Oregon Public Broadcasting/National Public Radio with weekly programs like Wait...Wait Don't Tell me for laughs, and Freakonomics Radio for "exploring the riddles of life and wrinkles of human nature". I found this broadcast exceptional. https://freakonomics.com/podcast/are-we-living-through-the-most-revolutionary-period-in-history-frbc/
Hobbies:
Boating, picnicking, camping, fresh and saltwater fishing, custom terminal tackle, clamming, crabbing, boating upgrades, exploring, and traveling on and off the water (boater home) from British Columbia to Mexico, with a 22' C-Dory Cruiser.
C-Dory rendezvous with other owners (like the one coming up at Friday Harbor, San Juan Island, Washington, in May). This is the main forum used by C-Dory owners http://www.c-brats.com/
Cross Country Skiing
Pickle ball (beginner)
Knot tying
Occasional low level tree climbing (with technical gear)
Steam Baths in the winter for a diversion from rain, followed by great food.

"Just discovered your product today while trying to locate classmates ahead of our 50th reunion in 2020. The fact that you did this in a noncommercial manner in a world where everything has a price tag deserves recognition and respect, in my view.
Thank you and good luck in all your endeavors."
