Mike Casto

As a martial artist I have 30+ years of training and experience and for the past 14+ (since Feb. '95) have been focused on Filipino and Indonesian martial arts.
I got my instructorship in the system of Sikal (a system that draws from several systems of Filpino & Indonesian martial arts) in Sep. '99.
I hold the following ranks:
2nd Level Instructor in Sikal
2nd Degree Black Belt in Shen Chuan
6th Degree Black Belt (Master) in Cacoy Doce Pares Eskrima/Eskrido
I also dabble a bit in Tai Chi and have had training and/or exposure to a wide variety of other martial arts over the years.
I met my wife, Margaret, in Feb. '95 and we've been very happily married since Apr. 12, '97. She has a son, Michael, who is 28 and lives in Dayton, OH. Obviously, my wife robbed the cradle - she's 15 years older than me. We don't have any children together.
I'm pretty well traveled. I've visited Britain, Netherlands, Denmark, Germany, France, Greece, China, Philippines, most of the United States and some of Canada. I'm hoping to spend a month in the Philippines at the end of this year or early next year. Get some training there and probably do some teaching. While I'm there I plan to take a few days to visit Indonesia.
I'm still very good friends with several people from PHHS and a couple from elementary school.
I have a wealth of good friends and family and life is awesome.
In short, I live a fantasy life and I enjoy every minute of it :-)
