Today's Featured Biography
Barbi Murk Franklin
Terry & Barbi Franklin are singers, songwriters, and speakers that have ministered full-time for 29 years as a duo, focusing on their theme: “Inspiring Love in the Home & Revival in the Church”since 1985. Through Family Concerts and Marriage Seminars nation-wide, as well as in 37 foreign countries, they are reaching countless marriages and families with the hope and love of Jesus Christ.
In 1985, they founded Heart for the World, Inc., a missions organization which focuses on evangelism, prayer and worship, as well as impacting marriages and families world-wide. Through marriage seminars, evangelism crusades, and concert ministries around the globe, the Franklins have seen many thousands of souls saved, churches planted, and lives changed and restored by their message of hope and revival.
Through the years, they have worked with many well-known Christian leaders and artists such as Billy Graham, Jim Cymbala and The Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir, Focus on the Family, Coach Bill McCartney and Promise Keepers, Adrian Rogers, Jack Hayford, Steve & Annie Chapman, Bill & Gloria Gaither, David Jeremiah, Kay Arthur, Gary Smalley, Judge Roy Moore, Josh McDowell, Don Wildmon and The American Association, and many others.
As songwriters, they have had noteworthy success – artists across a wide range, from Glen Campbell to The Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir have recorded their songs – and they have won numerous Dove Awards and award nominations – but more important to them are the many changed lives through healed marriages, families, and awakened churches as God has used them around the world..
Terry & Barbi have a passion to see God bring Renewed Spiritual Hunger to the Church and Awakening to the unsaved starting inside homes… and spreading to the whole world. Their two sons Tyler & Travis are now married and hold jobs in Nashville, TN and Washington DC. Using Terry’s skill at the keyboard and Barbi’s talent on violin, they lead listeners into a prayer and worship experience that touches and changes hearts. During seminars and speaking events, their music is an added bonus to every event.
Both Terry & Barbi have traveled in music ministry since they were very young. After 29 years of itinerant ministry together, they continue to encourage strong family values, unity, and renewed hunger for God.
