Today's Featured Biography
David Elliott
After High School, I graduated from the University of Minnesota in 1964 with a degree in Mortuary Science. As most of you know, I worked at Yurs Funeral Home thru high school, college, and until 1969 when we moved to Minnesota. Nancy and I raised 3 wonderful children while I was a Painting and Decorating Contractor in the Minneapolis area. Also, active in our Church, had a vacation home on a lake in northern Minnesota for many years, and then became active on two Fire Departments starting at the age 40 (can you believe?). At one point, Scott, Steve, and I were all on these volunteer Fire Departments (really neat). I was Fire Chief for many years on the one small department while being Hazardous Materials Coordinator and then District Chief on the larger suburban department. All these activities took a toll on my marriage and in 1999, we were divorced. Work and the Fire Departments continued ( Let us Never Forget 911).
In 2006, I retired from Contracting and the Fire Departments. Becky and I then moved to Florida where she started Cat Adjusters, LLC, an Independent Insurance Adjusting Firm. We both are licensed in Florida and Texas and work claims after the hurricanes. But you know what, after the first year, No hurricanes in Florida. We did work Hurricane Ike in Texas and now the waiting game. In the mean time, we have been managing a naturist resort in South Florida and loving retirement (HaHa!!).
Becky and I have been married 8 years now and neither of us miss the Cold weather in Minnesota but I do miss my 5 grandchildren in California and Minnesota. My Mom and Dad are still doing great at 88 and 91 (also grads of St. Charles High School). My sister Candy and my brother Chad (Bill while in school) both have families with children and grandchildren.
You can thank Kathy Lindahl (Linnea’s sister) for finding me, so maybe I can get off the “Missing Persons” list. I’ve made a number of the reunions but not since the 40th when Shirley Smith sat on my lap for the class photo and a number of you were pretty upset!!!(So we were sent to detention!!) Becky and I just bought plane tickets to attend the 50th class reunion so hope to see you all there. Thanks to all of you on the committee for making this happen and planning this historic event. God Bless.

"Just discovered your product today while trying to locate classmates ahead of our 50th reunion in 2020. The fact that you did this in a noncommercial manner in a world where everything has a price tag deserves recognition and respect, in my view.
Thank you and good luck in all your endeavors."
