Today's Featured Biography
Peggy Jelenc Richardson
Born in Racine, WI, moved to Glen Ellyn age 5 and attended Main St. School. Lived on Phillips Ave until Jr. High (?) then moved to Riford Rd. Graduated from Cornell University 1965, spent summer in Europe, moved to NYC and lived there for 9 months. Then back to Rochester MN for dietetics internship at Mayo Clinic. Then moved to New Haven Conn. and worked at Yale Medical center for 5 yrs. Couldn't take the cold and humidity any longer and moved to California. Have been in the SF Bay area for 40+ years and love it. Met my husband, who worked in the semi-conductor industry and had his own business as well. He died suddenly in 1998. Worked at Stanford the entire time I have lived here. Son, Evan, lives in Hayward and works in technology. Daughter, Alison, is a controller working for Sonic Automotive in San Jose and lives in San Jose. I am retired since 2009 and loving it. Have a cat and 2 greyhounds. Have done a lot of overseas traveling since leaving college and lived in many states. Gosh, didn't think I had so much to say.
