Marianne Bjornn
Hi,
I live in Burley, aka, The Center of the Universe! My oldest son, Jason, and my daughter Juli live with me. Kevin is at BYU-I (old Ricks college)in Rexburg.
I have been divorced for 3 years.
My son, Jason, has cerebral palsy, he is a quadraplegic. My daughter, Juli, is a Junior at Burley High. She is involved in Jr. Miss, Bel Contos Choir, Honor society and is aiming for her 3rd year of going to state in track.
I have kept running most of the past 30 years, and my son Jason goes with me on some of our races. We aren't 'Team Hoyt', but he loves it like Rick Hoyt does (Jason is very much like Rick Hoyt if you have seen their videos). I am going to attempt my first triathlon this summer, right here in Burley, the Spudman. At least I have registered for it! I have been slowed down by injuries this winter :(. I have participated on a triathlon team before and been the running leg, but never done the whole thing by myself........this getting older stuff doesn't help with training!
I also live on a large country lot, I enjoy gardening and even mowing the lawn! And have learned to appreciate the quote by the late Paul Harvey, "The harder the wind, the stronger the tree!" It seems to apply to much of life!
I work as a behavior specialist in Minidoka (Rupert)School Dist, and love my job.
I have great friends and family.
I look forward to this reunion!
