Today's Featured Biography
Kathleen O'Neill
After graduating I attended BSU for 2 years, following my calling to pursue a BA in Theatre Arts. I transferred to University of Washington in fall of '78 and finished there with my degree along with a teaching certificate for grades 7-12 in 1982. During this time I also got married (1980 - 36 years and counting!) I decided I wanted to be just like Mr. Gratton and teach English and Drama! Changed my mind quickly after my student teaching experience...just wasn't my cup of tea. I went back to school to work on my Masters in Educational Psychology. Mid-stream working on that degree Steven got a job offer to manage a scuba retail store in San Jose, CA, and so we packed and moved to the Bay area. I transferred to Santa Clara University and changed my emphasis to Counseling Psychology. After graduating in 1987 I went to work for HP in Human Resources and have been there ever since. I transferred with HP to Vancouver, Washington in 1991 and have been here ever sing. We love living here and have the best of both worlds as we live out in a rural area on 5 acres, but have the cool and funky city of Portland within a 45 minute drive. We can be in the mountains in an hour, and on the beach in 2 hours. Who couldn't love that? Steven and I are parents of Tyler (26) who just graduated from Portland State University with his Bachelors in Graphic Design; and Dylan (21) who is midstream in his education and plays college baseball (infield, mainly first base). Both of our guys are living at home, although Dylan will be headed off to school somewhere east in the Fall, and no doubt Tyler will move out once he lands a "real job" that is related to his major. No serious relationships that would spawn grandbabies yet, and we're okay with that but I am getting a little impatient! I have a great job that has allowed me to do a lot of travel (domestic and international) and work with lots of people, from production operators to C-suite and all levels in between. For the past 3.5 years I've been working on my Doctor of Education (EdD) in Organizational Leadership, and hope to have it done by the end of this year. I'm reminded of our class's parting shot in our senior yearbook - "I shall pass this way but once - any good that I can do or kindness I can show to any human being, let me do it now; let me not defer or neglect it, for I shall not pass this way again" - I've held that throughout this life journey so far.

"Just discovered your product today while trying to locate classmates ahead of our 50th reunion in 2020. The fact that you did this in a noncommercial manner in a world where everything has a price tag deserves recognition and respect, in my view.
Thank you and good luck in all your endeavors."
