Today's Featured Biography
Ruth Ranschau Hoogeveen
Kevin & I just celebrated our 30th anniversary. Our children thought that we should be together so we packed up and went to Switzerland the first part of June 2011. We had a great time visiting/touring the country. But more importantly, our entire immediate family was able to spend time together before they become more scattered and tied down. Our oldest daughter, Natalie, her husband and son are living in Zurich for another 1.5 years. Andy (Natalie's husband) is doing atmospheric reseach at the university in Zurich. Ashley is getting her Masters degree at Temple University in Philidelphia and working at Drexel University. Luke just finished college at Hope in Holland, Michigan, and is exploring job and grad school options. Kevin is an insurance agent, operates a car wash in LeMars, and roofs during the summer time. He is currently making cabinets so that we can remodel our kitchen. As for me, I am teaching 8th grade science, history, some PE, and coaching 8th grade volleyball at MOC-Floyd Valley Community School. During the 31 years of teaching, I have aquired my Masters and earned my National Board Certification. I love gardening, making jam, working on our acreage, and traveling in the summer.
