I graduated from Iowa State in 1979 with an engineering degree, worked for John Deere in Davenport until 1984, got an MBA at St. Ambrose, then moved to Tucson AZ to work for for Hughes Aircraft for a couple years. Moved to San Diego in 1986 and worked for an Aerospace company for 34 years(the last 20 years in corporate finance), until I retired in 2020 and moved back to Dubuque.
I enjoyed San Diego, but like being back in Dubuque, with the four seasons, slower pace, room to breathe, friendly people, lower cost of living, and seeing family and long time friends more often.
Since retirement I spend most of my time golfing, doing yardwork, doing photography for Hempstead sports(football, basketball and soccer), playing guitar(at home only!), traveling(mostly in the Midwest), wine tasting with my wife, watching sports and the latest shows on Netflix/HBO.
