Today's Featured Biography
John Mosely, Jr
I retired in 2005 as a School Administrator at Wacona Elementary School. I started my Educational career in 1972. I taught American History and Georgia History at Center Jr. High School in Waycross. I taught at Center Jr. from 1972 through 1978. During this period of time, I also worked part time as a radio announcer at the old WAYX Radio Station on Carswell Avenue in Waycross. In 1978, I moved to Hinesville, Georgia where I served as a School Administrator at the Hinesville Middle School. In 1986, I moved back to Waycross and served as a School Administrator at Wacona Elementary School. I was at Wacona School from 1986 until my retirement in June of 2005. I had a total of 33 years in the Educational field. I have one daughter, Ashley (Mosely) Jha. Ashley received her degree in Nursing in 2005. She is married to Dr. Asit Jha. Dr. Jha is an oncologist at the Mayo Clinic Health System in Waycross. I have two Grandsons, Rishi and Shan Jha. I have one sister, Susan (Mosely) Gilbert. She works at Concerted Services in the Elderly Services Department here in Waycross. My Mother, Faye Mosely, also lives in Waycross. She is a retired Activities Director at Ware Manor Nursing Home. As far as my hobbies, I enjoy watching my favorite team, the Washington Redskins. On occasion, I try to attend some of the Redskin games. I also enjoy collecting old vinyl records and Chinese Proverbs. I look forward to seeing my classmates at our next Class Reunion.
