Shirley Brock Mattacchione

Having never left the area, I reside in Sarasota with my husband Larry of 38 years and pray for another 38 with him. We have 3 charming sons whom we love dearly; they are all still a huge part of our daily life. Upon graduation, I can honestly say,” I had no clue”; so after a brief stint at G.T.E. I then went to work at the Sarasota County Court House. For 35 years Larry and I have both been active in Real estate and owned a Real-estate Investment office in Brandon…need I say more? We now broker commodities; gold, oil, cement, diamonds, etc….
Married in 1971 and had our first son in “76”, I knew immediately, my mission and purpose. I became a full time mom and in 1984 we had twin boys which then extended my full time job. I subbed and volunteered for a Montessori School for the many years our children attended. Once they reached H.S. years I then Co sponsored each of their class and spent many years encouraging all students to get involved and take on an active role in their school and community. We are delighted to report that our oldest son and his wife are making us first time grandparents……Can’t wait!
As the years past and all kids moved on, I found myself reunited with my wonderful friends that were all so important to me growing up. Although we may have a few earned wrinkles, gray hair and yes, a little more plump; we all matured in a graceful way and still enjoy the laughs while reminiscing about the “good old days”, we are a great support system to one another regardless the situation at hand.
I look forward to reuniting w/countless familiar faces from the past and hope many will be in attendance. I would also like to extend my many thanks to all of you that have dedicated your time and efforts to help ensure this to be a successful reunion.
