Arnaldo Paulino
Hello to everyone from the "Big Apple".
After High School, I was originally scheduled to attend U Cal Berkley, but couldn’t afford the tuition. Took a year off, worked multiple jobs, and saved to pay for tuition myself. Didn’t save enough for U Cal Burkley, so I attended UDC, Howard, and then finally the University of Maryland, College Park.
In 1999, I eventually built up the courage to move to my hometown of origin, New York City. I love it here. There is so much to do that I never get bored. Currently, I am a Senior Systems Engineer. I am a true benefactor of former Mayor Marion Barry's Summer Youth Employment Program. What I do for a living, I actually learned in the summer of my junior year at Wilson.
When I was a kid, I heard a TV Ad that described the position of a "Computer Operator or Technician". I don’t know why, but at that moment I decided that this is what I wanted to do when I grew up. I'm grown now and look - Some dreams do come true! Corny but true; it was a childhood dream to work in this industry.
I enjoyed the reunion and the company of old friends. I look forward to seeing you all again soon. Take care everyone!!
