Today's Featured Biography
Michele Murphy Chisholm
You may remember me as the President of the Student Government (remember the talent shows, dances, and Mr. Chin), statistician on the football team and one of the young ladies who road the horses in the homecoming parade representing the class of 1974.
Since graduation from high school, I attended Bennett College (where I pledged Alpha Kappa Alpha,Sorority, Inc.) and Howard University where I majored in english literature and political science. I am a divorce' who for the pass 26 years raised two wonderful young men. I work at the Library of Congress as a Copyright Specialist.
Like in high school, I have held offices and have been very active in several volunteer political, educational, religious and social organizations.I enjoy party planning and getting folks together over delicious food and soulful music (electric slide anyone?).
I am elated that last year, I completed an extensive Blacks in Government career leadership program and I was blessed with my first grandchild(a girl). I am tickled pink that I have connected with some of you on classmates.com and facebook. And, I got spiritual cash on it (faith), that my best years are yet to come!
