Today's Featured Biography
Michael Sandoval
I Graduated with the Class of 1979 and attended CSUN in September of that year. I married the love of my life in Dec 1982 and entered active duty with USAF in December 1982. My first duty station was Indian Springs Auxillary Air Field, Nevada from Feb 1983 through May 1985. I was stationed at McChord AFB from May 1985 through June 1986 (F-15 Crew Chief). I earned my Associate's Degree in Aircraft Maintenance and promptly retrained in May of 1986(Training Manager). I was stationed at Beale AFB Ca. from June of 1986 through March of 1992 and earned my Bachelors of Science Degree (Cum Laude) in Government from Sacramento State University in 1991. I served a remote assignment in South Korea from March of 1992 through April 1993 and moved to Vandenberg AFB Ca. in April of that year. While stationed at Vandenberg I was responsible for all enlisted training associated with the follow-on Test and Evaluation Ballistic Missle testing program. My family & I departed the U.S. for Europe in October 1986 and were stationed at RAF Mildenhall (England) until March 2001. I Managed the entire training program for the Air Mobility Command's European Theater of operations. I supported Air Bases located in Germany, England, Turkey, Portugul, and Spain. My "claim to fame" was making sure our Air Force was properly trained to repair C-5, C-17, and C-141 aircraft in the enroute system. That training and readiness proved essential to halting Slobodan Milosivic's attempt to murder ethnic Albanians. Who'd have ever thought a kid from Verdugo Hills HS would wind up saving thousands of lives in Europe? After making my contribution to the cause of liberty and freedom abroad, my family and I returned stateside in March of 2001. I served as Chief, Logistics Training Flight for nearly two years and accepted a key "special duty assignment" (my current position) in November of 2002. I'm currently the Chief Development Officer (CDO)for U-2 Pilot Training at Beale AFB California. Along the way, I've served in various volunteer capacities to include Girl's softball coach, and several positions within the Boy Scouts: Cub Master (Pack #215, RAF Mildenhall), Assistant Scout Master (Troop #44, Beale AFB CA) and am currently a District Unit Commissioner, Buttes Area District, Golden Empire Council. I've thoroughly enjoyed my life and have no regrets or complaints. I've seen the world, married my best friend, and have two awesome kids! We bought our home on the outskirts of Yuba City in the summer of 2002 and are having a ball. My hobbies include anything having to do with tools (wood working and the mechanical trades) and I love to restore classic Mustangs--we have a 1967 Coupe and a 1968 Convertible. We enjoy antiques, and of course enjoy the new Mustangs as well as the old--we have a 2000 Coupe and a 1999 Convertible (Miss Trudy's Car!). I'm a Master Sergeant (E-7)and plan to retire from Active duty sometime within the next 2 years. After the Air Force I plan to enter the civil service--if that's not available to me I'll begin a second career as a teacher. Last (but not least) we love our hounds--we have 3 Jack Russell Terriers (we brought Emilly and Max with us to America when we left England; "Patches" is their daughter--1st generation Yankee!)and we spend as much time with them as we can. They're very loyal and intelligent beasts and never cease to amaze us with their seemingly unlimited agility, speed, and penchant for pure mischief! Good luck to you all, and may God continue to bless our United States of America! Keep in touch.

"Just discovered your product today while trying to locate classmates ahead of our 50th reunion in 2020. The fact that you did this in a noncommercial manner in a world where everything has a price tag deserves recognition and respect, in my view.
Thank you and good luck in all your endeavors."
